When to hold a wedding in Phuket
The island's high season is November to April: dry, a calm sea, predictable sunsets. The good villas and restaurants by the sea are taken for these months in advance, and on the dates from 28 December to 3 January the artists charge a higher rate. May to October is cheaper and freer; the rain is usually short, but we always write a rain plan into the estimate.

Wedding ceremony formats in Phuket
Below are all the venues where we hold ceremonies, with prices in baht and with what usually comes out only after the contract is signed. Most agencies on the island publish no prices at all, so couples spend weeks collecting estimates before they can start comparing.
A beach wedding
The format that comes to mind first. We work the west coast for the sunset — Nai Thon, Layan, Nai Harn and the quiet northern stretches, where the sun sets behind the couple rather than in the guests' eyes. The venue from 10,000 ฿. Two things nobody usually warns about: beaches in Thailand are public and cannot be closed, so in the high season there will be strangers in the frame; and sound is limited — we bring a battery set so the vows are heard without a cable across the whole beach.
A villa wedding
A villa gives what a beach cannot — control. Nobody walks through the ceremony, the evening can run past sunset, and the getting ready, the ceremony, dinner and dancing happen in one place, without moving. The venue from 10,000 ฿. Read the rental contract carefully: most Phuket villas ban loud music outdoors after 22:00 and charge a separate event fee on top of the nightly rate, and the phrase «events allowed» often means dinner. We confirm both in writing before the booking.
An island wedding
A ceremony on an island near Phuket: a speedboat in the morning, vows on an empty beach, lunch on board, back by evening. From 30,000 ฿. The only truly private option and the most weather-dependent: from May to October we hold a backup date and an alternative on shore, because the sea makes the call, not us.
A yacht wedding
Vows on deck, departure from Chalong pier, Coral Island and the sunset off Promthep Cape. From 69,000 ฿ with the yacht. Right for small groups: twenty guests on a yacht is intimate, forty is already a crowded deck. Open flame and pyrotechnics on board are forbidden; cold fountains and CO2 are usually allowed, but the particular owner decides.
A rooftop wedding
With a sea view from 10,000 ฿, with a city view from 35,000 ฿. The most reliable option in the rainy season: a covered rooftop keeps the view and removes the risk. The real limit is the wind: light fabrics and tall floral structures do not survive on an open roof, so we design the decor low and weighted.
A wedding in a restaurant and by the sea
A restaurant by the sea from 10,000 ฿, an indoor restaurant from 20,000 ฿, a restaurant's private beach from 20,000 ฿. The practical choice when there are more than forty guests and you need a kitchen on site rather than catering driven across the island.
A Thai ceremony and a symbolic ceremony
What most foreign couples hold in Phuket is a symbolic ceremony with a celebrant; it has no legal force anywhere, so the documents are usually done at home. A traditional Thai ceremony with monks, the water-pouring rite and a drum procession is held separately or added in the morning before the main day. When to hold a wedding in Phuket
November to April is the high season: dry, predictable sunsets, and that is why most weddings fall in these months. Venues and photographers are taken two to four months ahead; prices do not move.
May to October is the green season. The rain is short and heavy rather than all day, the morning is often clear, the venues are free and cheaper. It is a working option if you accept a covered plan B — we write it into the estimate in advance rather than improvise on the spot.
Dates to avoid: Songkran in mid-April — the island stands still, the hotels are full; Buddhist holy days — a limit on the sale of alcohol that people regularly trip over. We check your date against both lists before the deposit is paid.

We discuss the rain plan before the estimate is signed: a covered area at the venue, a canopy over the equipment or moving the ceremony by a couple of hours. The equipment is our own, so moving the set is a matter of organisation, not of finding a new supplier.
How far ahead should the date be booked?
In the low season a couple of weeks is usually enough. In the high season, from November to April, the good villas and restaurants by the sea are booked months ahead, and the New Year dates even earlier.
Can we take only part of the services?
Yes. You can order only sound and light for the ceremony, only a DJ or only a photographer. The items with prices are in the catalogue.

Is a wedding in Phuket a legal marriage?
What we hold is a symbolic ceremony with a celebrant; it has no legal force. Almost all foreign couples register the marriage at home and come here for the day itself. Official registration in Thailand is a separate procedure through the amphur with affidavits from the embassy, and it is best to decide what you need at the very start.
Can we have a wedding on a private beach?
Beaches in Thailand are public and cannot be closed, so a beach ceremony will never be fully private. Privacy comes with a restaurant's beach from 20,000 ฿, an island from 30,000 ฿ or a villa with its own access to the sea.
How many guests can you take?
From two people for an elopement to about 150 at a villa or in a restaurant. Past forty guests the choice of venues narrows sharply — more often because of the kitchen and the parking than the space.
Do you bring the sound and the light yourselves?
Yes, and that is what sets us apart from wedding agencies. We have our own speakers, light, DJ equipment and special effects, run by our own technicians. A coordinator who subcontracts the equipment depends on whoever turns up; we do not.
How far ahead do we need to book?
Three to six months for the high season, earlier if you need a particular villa on a particular Saturday. In the green season a couple of weeks is often enough. A 50% deposit secures the date, the balance on the wedding day.
Can the ceremony be held in Russian?
Yes. We work in Russian, English, Thai and Chinese: the celebrant, the ceremony and the coordination on the day can be entirely in Russian. The contract and the invoice come from a Thai company with VAT.
What do we do if it rains?
From May to October we write a covered option into the estimate in advance: a rooftop with a roof, a restaurant's hall or a marquee at the villa. Rain in Phuket is usually heavy and short, so the task is not to cancel but to move the ceremony by forty minutes and keep the sunset.
