Almost every villa in Phuket has a separate charge for an event on top of the accommodation — from a few thousand baht to a sum comparable to a night's rent. Listings usually do not mention it. We find out the figure before the booking, not after.
No loud music outdoors after 22:00
This is the standard in Phuket's residential areas. It does not mean «no celebrating» but «after 22:00 the sound goes indoors or drops to background level». We plan the first dance and the lively part before that hour rather than after — then nobody comes to complain.
The words «events allowed»
Often they mean a dinner for twenty rather than a wedding with a DJ and a dance floor. We ask the owner to confirm the specific scenario in writing: the number of guests, whether there is music, the finishing time.
Villa areas and how they differ
Bang Tao and Layan
The most villas for events, level lawns, wide access for a truck with the equipment. Neighbours are close, so the 22:00 rule is kept strictly.
Kamala and Surin
Villas on the slopes with a sea view — the best picture at sunset. The minus: narrow, steep drives; the gear is carried by hand, which means extra staff hours in the quote.
Rawai and Nai Harn
Quieter and cheaper, close to the beach. The wiring at some villas is old — a generator or a stabiliser is most often needed here.
Cape Panwa and Yamu
Spacious villas for large groups, secluded, with fewer neighbours. Further from the airport and Patong — count the guests' transfers.
