A fire show is the most underrated act in a programme. It lasts seven to ten minutes, but it is the one guests film on their phones and the one they remember a year later. It is also harder to arrange than it seems: you need a venue where open fire is allowed, a safe distance to the guests and the palms, a windless window and the agreement of the owner of the place — all settled before the booking, not on the day.

Formats of the fire show
Fire show solo
One artist, poi and staffs, seven to eight minutes. The most compact option: it fits a small area by the pool where a trio has no room to move. Taken for intimate birthdays and romantic dinners.
Fire show duo
Two artists working together — synchronised elements and pair work, which makes the act denser and better on camera. The most common order for weddings: the duo comes out right after the first dance or before the cake.
Fire show trio
Three artists, the largest area and the most spectacular picture. It needs a level open space and a safety zone of at least several metres from the guests — on a narrow beach between sun loungers it cannot be staged.
A lady with fire fans
A separate act with large props: the fans draw wide lines of fire that stretch beautifully on a long exposure. It works well as a greeting in the welcome zone, not only as the finale of the evening.
A fire show with pyrotechnics and cold fountains
A fire show is often paired with cold fountains at 5,000 ฿ per machine — they give safe sparks without heat and are allowed where open fire is restricted. We bring both elements into one script with shared light and music so the act does not split in two.
Where it can be held and where not
Villa
The simplest option provided the owner agrees. Fire near wooden decking, palms and awnings needs clearance and distance, so we ask permission in writing and inspect the venue before the booking. A villa's plus is a controlled perimeter and no strangers.
Beach
Beautiful and almost always possible, but beaches in Thailand are public: the area cannot be closed and there will be people around. We set a safety zone and stage the act after sunset, when the beach empties. The wind off the sea is the main limit: in a strong wind some props are not brought out.
Restaurant and hotel
Here the venue's house rules decide, not the space. Some hotels ban open fire outright, others allow it only on the sea side and until a certain hour. One letter in advance settles it, and better before the venue is booked.
Yacht
No. Open fire and pyrotechnics on board are banned — the charter's rule, not ours. On a yacht, light acts take the place of fire, and cold fountains where the captain allows them.
What to know in advance
- Wind. The main limit. The decision is taken at the venue an hour before the act, and a reserve light act is best kept ready
- Distance. A real gap is needed between the artists and the first row of guests — on a tight site the act simply cannot be staged
- The surface. Dry grass, wooden decking and reed awnings are stop factors venues often do not warn about themselves
- Time. Fire only makes sense after dark: in Phuket that is from about 18:50 in December and 19:20 in June
- Clearance. We take the venue owner's written permission before the booking — a spoken «probably fine» is not enough

Where in Phuket can a fire show be held?
At a villa — with the owner's written consent and enough distance from wooden decking, palms and awnings. On a beach — almost always, but beaches are public, the area cannot be closed, and the wind off the sea gets in the way. In restaurants and hotels the house rules decide: some ban open fire outright. On a yacht — not allowed; it is the charter's rule.
What if there is wind?
