Sound system rental in Phuket — prices

Double D Project keeps its own sound stock on Phuket and sends an engineer with it. That means the rig is chosen for your venue and guest count rather than for whatever is free on the date, and there is somebody on site who knows the gear if anything needs adjusting mid-event. Prices are per event in Thai baht. Delivery and setup are quoted separately — from 2,000 ฿ for a car and from 5,000 ฿ for a truck.

How to choose a sound system for your venue

Up to 15 guests at a villa or on a beach — a compact PA and a controller are enough, which is what sits inside our PICNIC Basic package at 10,000 ฿. For 10 to 30 guests at a villa with a pool the rig has to cover an outdoor area rather than one corner: that is HOUSE Premium at 25,000 ฿. Above 30 guests, when people spread across the grounds instead of standing by the speakers, power is calculated for the whole venue — CORPORATE Ultra at 39,000 ฿. On the water the kit is different again: compact, battery-powered and moisture-resistant, included in Yacht Basic at 20,000 ฿ and Yacht Premium at 30,000 ฿.

Power at Phuket villas

A large share of villas on the island cannot carry a full sound and light rig on the house supply. We calculate the load before the quote is signed and bring a voltage stabiliser from 5,000 ฿ or a 6 kW petrol generator at 10,000 ฿ where needed. This is a routine part of the specification here, not an emergency call at one in the morning.

How much does sound equipment rental cost in Phuket?

A PA system matched to the venue starts at 3,500 ฿ per event, a JBL PRX 715 XLF subwoofer is 4,000 ฿, a mixing console 2,000 ฿ and a wireless microphone 1,000 ฿. A full party package with sound, light and a DJ starts at 10,000 ฿ for up to 15 guests.

Does the price include delivery and setup?

No — delivery and setup are quoted separately — from 2,000 ฿ for a car and from 5,000 ฿ for a truck, depending on the area and what has to be carried in. An engineer on site through the event and the de-rig afterwards are included. We work at villas, hotels, restaurants, beach venues and on yachts across Phuket.

Can I rent equipment without booking event organisation?

Yes. Sound, light and DJ equipment are available as a standalone rental. The full price list is in the catalogue.

Do you have rider-level DJ equipment?

Yes. A Pioneer CDJ-3000 setup with a DJM-V10 mixer is 15,000 ฿ per event, and a CDJ-2000 NXS2 with a DJM-900 is 9,000 ฿. Denon DJ Prime is also in stock, and L-Acoustics or d&b audiotechnik systems can be sourced on request.

What if the villa does not have enough power?

We calculate the load in advance and bring a voltage stabiliser or a 6 kW generator. It is written into the specification before the quote is signed.

How far in advance should I book?

In low season a week is usually enough. High season runs from November to April and the good dates go earlier; between 28 December and 3 January everything is booked well in advance.
