Event equipment rental in Phuket: effects, stage, power
Double D Project keeps its own stock of special effects, staging and technical equipment on Phuket. Everything that is not sound or light, but without which an event does not come together. We deliver, install, stay on site through the evening and pack down afterwards — a villa in Rawai, a hotel in Patong, a restaurant in Chalong, a yacht or a beach venue in Bang Tao.

Special effects: smoke, fire, bubbles
Smoke is not decoration. Without it the light beams are invisible, which is why a hazer is the cheapest way to make a lighting rig actually look like one on camera. Low smoke is the opposite tool — a heavy cloud that stays at floor level for a first dance or an artist entrance.

What works where
Villa. Almost everything is possible, with the owner’s rules on noise — many Phuket villas ask for outdoor music to stop at 22:00. Open flame near a pool deck or wooden terrace needs separate approval.
Hotel. The strictest venue. Pyrotechnics and flame effects are agreed with the events department in advance, and smoke has to be checked against fire detectors before you book it.
Yacht. No open flame at all. CO2, confetti and LED effects work; power comes from batteries, a generator does not go on board.
Beach. The freest venue for effects and the most wind-dependent one. There is usually no mains power, so a generator and cabling are part of the plan from the start.
When you need a generator
A villa’s domestic supply handles music and basic lighting. Add a full lighting programme, an LED screen, smoke machines and a stage, and it stops coping: lights flicker and equipment trips into protection. A 6 kW petrol generator covers that gap, and a stabiliser handles the voltage swings that are common on the island.

How much does it cost to rent a smoke machine in Phuket?
A 1500W smoke machine is 2,000 ฿ per day, a hazer for light haze is 3,500 ฿, and a 3000W low smoke machine is 10,000 ฿. Delivery and installation are charged separately.
Can we use special effects at a hotel or on the beach?
Flame, pyrotechnics and CO2 almost always need approval from the venue in advance. We check this before confirming the booking and can suggest alternatives — for example cold fireworks instead of open flame.
Is delivery included in the rental price?
No, it is a separate line. Logistics start from 2,000 ฿ for a car and from 5,000 ฿ for a truck. Installation, connection and pack-down start from 2,000 ฿ per event.
How far in advance should we book?
As early as possible. In high season popular items go quickly. Send us your date and we will tell you what is available.
Do you work on yachts and villas?
Yes. We regularly set up on yachts, villas, beach venues, hotels and restaurants across Phuket. The equipment set and power solution are chosen for each venue.
What do we need for a karaoke party?
A karaoke system is 10,000 ฿, usually taken with a TV or projector screen and a sound system. All of it can go into one request.
