Sound is the one thing guests notice only when it is wrong. JBL PRX series rental

Our workhorse powered tops and subs for events of 30 to 200 guests. Enough headroom for a full dance floor without the boxy midrange that makes speech unintelligible during toasts. Rigged on stands for villas, stacked on subs for beach and outdoor setups.

JBL PRX 715 XLF rental

A 15-inch extended-low-frequency subwoofer. This is the box you add when the DJ set is house or techno and the standard PA runs out of bottom end at the volume you actually want. Two of them under a pair of tops will comfortably carry a 150-person pool party.

JBL EON 615 and EON 208 rental

Compact powered speakers for speeches, ceremonies, cocktails and small villa dinners. The EON 208 is a portable two-speaker system with a small mixer built in — the practical answer for a beach ceremony where there is no power and the whole rig runs off a battery pack.

JBL IRX 112 rental

A single-box solution with usable coverage and low weight. Frequently paired with a wireless microphone for corporate presentations, welcome speeches and product launches in hotel function rooms.

JBL line array rental

A compact line array for larger outdoor events, festivals and beach stages where a point-source system cannot cover the depth of the audience. Even level from the front row to the back, which is what stops the front rows being deafened while the back hears nothing.

Martin Audio rental

Martin Audio systems in our own inventory — a British touring-grade brand with the controlled dispersion that matters on Phuket, where almost every venue has a neighbour and a curfew. Directing sound at the audience instead of at the hillside is often the difference between finishing at 02:00 and being shut down at 22:30.

Electro-Voice rental

Electro-Voice cabinets, also ours, known for reliability in heat and humidity — the two conditions that kill PA on a tropical island. A dependable choice for long outdoor days: conferences, sports events, opening ceremonies and full-day corporate programmes.

L-Acoustics and d&b audiotechnik — on request

For riders that specify a particular large-format system, we source L-Acoustics and d&b audiotechnik on request. These are not held in our warehouse, so they need lead time and are quoted per project. If your artist's technical rider names one of them, send it over and we will confirm availability and price before you commit.

Mixing consoles, microphones and monitoring

Soundcraft and Behringer mixer rental

Analogue and digital consoles for live bands, speech-heavy programmes and multi-source events. Enough channels for a cover band plus a DJ plus two wireless microphones without repatching between segments — which is what usually goes wrong at weddings when the ceremony, the dinner and the party all share one small mixer.

Shure SM58 rental

The standard vocal microphone, wired. Indestructible, feedback-resistant and the one every singer and host already knows. Rented in pairs for ceremonies and MC work.

Shure SM57 rental

The instrument counterpart — snare, guitar cabinets, percussion. Booked with live bands and saxophonists.

Wireless microphone rental

Handheld and headset radio microphones with frequency coordination done in advance. On Phuket the 2.4 GHz band in a hotel is crowded, so we scan and set frequencies at setup rather than hoping. One unit is 1,000 THB; ceremonies usually take two, conferences four or more.

Stage monitor rental

Wedge monitors so live musicians can hear themselves. A saxophonist playing over a DJ set without a monitor will drift out of tune with the track — this is the small line item that decides whether the live segment sounds professional.

Power, protection and interpretation

Generator rental — 6 kW

Beach ceremonies, island events and older villas frequently cannot carry a PA plus lighting. A 6 kW silenced generator at 10,000 THB solves it. We survey the venue's supply before the event so this is decided in advance, not discovered when the breaker trips during the first dance.

Voltage stabiliser rental

Phuket's mains voltage sags noticeably in some areas during the evening peak. A stabiliser at 5,000 THB protects amplifiers and digital consoles — cheaper than the alternative.

Simultaneous interpretation system rental

A full set for multilingual conferences: interpreter booth, transmitters and receivers for the audience, at 35,000 THB. Booked for MICE programmes and corporate meetings where the room mixes Russian, English, Thai and Chinese speakers.

Frequently asked questions about PA and speaker rental in Phuket

How much does it cost to rent a PA system in Phuket?

A complete PA set with tops, a subwoofer, stands and cabling is 3,500 THB per event. An extra JBL PRX 715 XLF subwoofer is 4,000 THB, a mixing console is 2,000 THB and a wireless microphone is 1,000 THB. Delivery starts at 2,000 THB and the minimum order is 15,000 THB.

Which speaker brands do you actually own?

JBL — PRX, EON 615, EON 208, IRX 112, PRX 715 XLF and a compact line array — plus Martin Audio and Electro-Voice systems. Mixing consoles are Soundcraft and Behringer, microphones are Shure. L-Acoustics and d&b audiotechnik are sourced on request rather than held in stock.

How many guests will one PA set cover?

A single set comfortably covers 30 to 80 guests indoors or on a terrace. For 80 to 200 add a second subwoofer. Above 200, or for a deep outdoor audience, you want the line array — send us the venue and guest count and we will specify it rather than guess.

Can you supply sound for a beach wedding with no power?

Yes. Either a battery-powered compact system for a short ceremony, or our 6 kW generator at 10,000 THB for a full programme. We also bring sand base plates so stands do not sink.

Do you provide a sound engineer?

Yes, on every booking. Our engineer sets up, tunes the system to the room, runs the event and dismantles afterwards. Equipment is not left unattended.

Can you meet an artist's technical rider?

Send us the rider. Most riders are covered by our own JBL, Martin Audio and Electro-Voice stock. If it specifies L-Acoustics or d&b audiotechnik we source those on request, which needs lead time and a project quote.

Will the music be loud enough without breaking villa rules?

That is exactly what the choice of system solves. Directional cabinets aimed at the dance floor give you full level where the guests are and far less spill towards neighbours. We check the venue's noise conditions before quoting, because most Phuket villas have an outdoor music curfew around 22:00 regardless of what the listing says.
