Lighting is what separates a room with people in it from an event. It is also the element clients underestimate most often — a venue that looks impressive in daylight can be flat and unphotographable after dark without a plan for it.
Double D Project has been lighting events in Phuket since 2013: villa parties, beach weddings, corporate galas, yacht charters and full-scale themed productions.
What we supply
- Stage and dance-floor lighting — moving heads, wash and beam fixtures, strobes, blinders
- Decorative and ambient lighting — uplighting, festoon and fairy lights, candles and lanterns for dinners and ceremonies

Design, not just hardware
Before quoting we ask what the event is meant to feel like and what the venue looks like after sunset. A wedding ceremony on the beach and a jungle party at a villa need opposite approaches: one wants light you barely notice, the other wants light you cannot ignore. We build the plan around that, then bring the fixtures that serve it.
Included in every rental
Delivery, rigging and setup, a technician on site throughout the event to run the show and fix anything that misbehaves, and dismantling afterwards.
Sound and light together
Most clients need both. Taking them from one supplier removes the commonest failure on event day — two crews arriving at the same venue with incompatible plans, competing for the same power supply and the same square metres of floor.

Frequently asked questions
Can you rent sound and lighting together?
Yes, and it is what we recommend. One crew, one power plan, one point of responsibility on the day.
Do you supply a lighting technician?
Yes. A technician stays on site for the whole event to run the show and deal with anything that goes wrong. Lighting left unattended is lighting that stops matching what is happening.
Can you light an outdoor venue with no power supply?
Yes. We bring generators and power distribution. Tell us the location and we will plan the supply as part of the quote.
Do you do cold sparklers and CO2 jets?
Yes — both, plus haze, confetti and bubbles. Cold sparklers are safe indoors and are the standard choice for first dances and cake moments.
Can you light a villa facade or the pool?
Yes. Architectural uplighting on a facade, palms or a pool is usually the single highest-impact item in a villa lighting plan, and it photographs far better than fixtures pointed at the dance floor alone.
