Double D Project is an event agency based in Phuket. We have been producing events on the island since 2013 and have delivered more than a thousand of them — from a private dinner for two on a beach to full-scale themed productions for audiences of over a thousand.

In-house, not outsourced

We own our sound and lighting inventory and employ our own technical crew. That is unusual for an event agency in Phuket, where most work is coordinated between separate suppliers, and it is the reason our timelines hold: we are not waiting on a rental company to confirm a date before we can confirm yours.

Beyond the technical side we handle venue search — villas, yachts, hotels, beach clubs and private islands — decor, catering and mobile bar, DJs, hosts, dancers and live acts, photography and video, guest transport, and the party van when the celebration needs to move.

Where we work

Phuket is home. We also produce events on Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, in Phang Nga and Bangkok, and we have worked outside Thailand, in Indonesia and China.

Languages

English, Russian, Thai and Chinese. In practice this matters more than it sounds: a wedding in Phuket usually involves an international couple, Thai venue staff and suppliers, and guests from three or four countries. Someone has to hold that together, and it is easier when the same team can speak to everyone directly.

How we start

Tell us the date, the approximate number of guests, and what the event is for. We come back with a concept and a budget. Nothing is charged until the concept is approved.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I contact you?

For a party, two to four weeks is comfortable. For a wedding, two to three months — venues and photographers book out first. High season, December to February, compresses everything: contact us as early as you can.

Do you organise events outside Phuket?

Yes — Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Phang Nga and Bangkok, and we have produced events in Indonesia and China.

Can you handle everything, or only parts?

Either. Some clients hand us the whole event; others already have a venue and only need sound, lighting and a DJ. Both are normal.

What languages does your team speak?

English, Russian, Thai and Chinese.

Do you own your equipment?

Yes — sound, lighting and effects are our own inventory, operated by our own crew. Nothing critical to your event depends on a third party's availability.

Can you find a venue for us?

Yes. Villas, yachts, hotels, beach clubs and private islands. We work with venues across the island and know which ones behave well for which kind of event.

What is the difference between an event agency and a private event organiser?

A private organiser is one person who assembles suppliers for your project and coordinates them. An event agency keeps the roles in-house: producer, coordinator, technicians, artists and its own equipment. That means one quote and one party accountable for the seams between sound, lighting, venue and programme.

What does an event producer actually do?

An event producer owns the staging: how the evening is structured in time, where the stage sits, when the lighting changes, when artists come on and what physically happens on site. An organiser makes sure the event happens; a producer decides how it looks and feels.

Do we need an on-site coordinator if everything is already agreed?

Yes, once there are more than two suppliers. The coordinator holds the timeline, receives artists and catering, solves clashes on the spot and makes sure the build finishes before guests arrive. Without one, the client does it.

Do you handle both private and corporate events?
