# Phangan Neon Party — a neon party in the Rawai lagoon

Phangan Neon Party in Phuket: a large neon party in the Rawai lagoon — guest DJs, sound and light rental, fire show, UV decor, bar and cocktails.

Phangan set a genre that is now recognised everywhere: ultraviolet, neon body art, white clothes that glow in the dark and an electronic set until dawn. We brought this format to Phuket — with the same energy, but with proper logistics, equipment and safety.

Neon is a story about light. Ordinary colour lights are not enough here: it takes ultraviolet fixtures of the right wavelength, fluorescent paints that do not run in the heat, and a body art artist who keeps up with a queue of guests. All of that we bring and set up ourselves.

The format goes down well at a young [birthday](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/birthday-party-phuket), an open party in a bar and an informal [corporate event](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/corporate-events-mice-phuket) that wants to get away from the classic banquet.

## What we took on

- Ultraviolet equipment and a neon wash of the venue
- Neon [decor](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/decorations), glowing props and a [photo zone](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/photo-zone-phuket)
- Body art: [artists](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/shows), fluorescent paints, a painting area
- [Sound](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/sound): [speakers](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/pa-speaker-rental-phuket) and a [DJ](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/dj-phuket) [mixer](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/mixer), a technician on site
- A DJ set, a host and a show programme
- Photo and video in low light, the film edited

## Lighting equipment and special effects hire

Ultraviolet needs the right equipment, not just «coloured bulbs». The event equipment is our own: UV fixtures of the right wavelength, an [LED wash](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/led-wash-zoom), [lasers](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/laser-machine-2w), [strobes](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/led-strobe-atomic), [smoke machines](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/smoke-machine-rental-phuket) and [low fog](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/machine-low-fog) [generators](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/generator), a JBL [sound system](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/sound-equipment-rental-phuket), speakers and [subwoofers](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/jbl-sub-prx-715), [radio microphones](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/microphone-rental-phuket) and Pioneer [DJ equipment](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/dj-equipment-rental-phuket). Lighting and sound equipment hire in Phuket is available as a separate service — with delivery, setup and a technician on site.

Catering and a mobile bar adapt to the format: neon cocktails, glowing straws and tableware, bartenders and waiters. The decorations — fluorescent decor, glowing props, neon signs and a photo zone under ultraviolet — are assembled in advance, not bought on the day of the party.

If you only need the hire: a UV set, lasers, [CO2 cannons](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/co2-gun), smoke machines and LED furniture come from the catalogue as separate items.
