Jungle Party vol.2 at Blue Ice in Phuket: a pool party produced end to end — sound and light rental, DJ, show, decorations, catering and bar.

The second Jungle Party moved to the Blue Ice venue: open grounds, a pool, a [DJ](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/dj-phuket) podium under the open sky. If the first party was about greenery and warm light, this one is about water, movement and a dance floor that does not end with the sunset.

An open-air venue in Phuket needs its own preparation. Humidity and the night breeze are no friends of equipment, so we set up protected gear, double the power supply and keep a technician on site all evening. The guests do not notice — and that is the right result.

The format suits summer open-air parties, [birthdays](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/birthday-party-phuket) for 40–120 guests and collaborations with the island's bars and beach clubs.

## What we took on

- A venue with a pool and an open dance area
- Staging: a DJ podium, light around the perimeter, [decor](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/decorations) in a tropical aesthetic
- [Sound](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/sound): a line array and monitors, a technician on site all evening
- Light and [special effects](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/special-effects-rental-phuket): a wash, [moving heads](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/light-equipment-rental-phuket), haze, CO2
- A DJ set, a host and a [show programme](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/shows)
- Photo and video, filming from the air

## Equipment hire, a bar and decorations

Sound and light at an open-air venue is an engineering task of its own, and the event equipment is ours: a JBL [sound system](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/sound-equipment-rental-phuket), moisture-proof [speakers](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/pa-speaker-rental-phuket) and [subwoofers](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/jbl-sub-prx-715), [radio microphones](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/microphone-rental-phuket), a mixing desk, Pioneer [DJ equipment](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/dj-equipment-rental-phuket), LED fixtures, [lasers](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/laser-machine-2w) and [haze machines](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/hazer). Sound and [lighting](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/light) equipment hire in Phuket is available as a separate service too — with delivery, setup and a technician on duty all evening.

Catering and a mobile bar by the pool: a bar station, bartenders, signature cocktails and non-alcoholic lemonades, waiters and tableware. The decorations and styling — inflatables, flowers, garlands, LED furniture and a photo zone — are chosen for the light and the water, so the party looks equally good live and on camera.

Equipment hire from the catalogue is available without planning: a [generator](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/generator), a stage, an LED screen, smoke machines, [CO2 cannons](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/co2-gun) and a [foam machine](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/foam-machine) come as separate items.
