# Beach party in Phuket — organised end to end

Source: https://www.doubledproject.com/en/portfolio/beach-party-eng

A beach party in Phuket produced end to end: sound and light rental on the sand, DJ, fire show, decorations, catering and a mobile bar.

A beach party looks like the simplest format — and turns out the most demanding to prepare. Sand, salt air, the tide and no socket within two hundred metres: all of it has to be solved before the first guest arrives. We do parties like this in Phuket regularly and know where the tide line runs on every beach.

Technically it is a self-contained venue: a [generator](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/generator), moisture-proof [sound](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/sound), battery light, decking for the dance floor and a time for loud music agreed in advance. Visually — the sunset, warm lamps, [torches](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/fakel-bambukovyy) and a minimum of anything else: the sea is [decor](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/decorations) enough on its own.

The format suits a [birthday](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/birthday-party-phuket), a [wedding](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/wedding) afterparty, an off-site [corporate event](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/corporate-events-mice-phuket) and an open party with a [DJ](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/dj-phuket) for 30–200 guests.

## What we took on

- Choosing the beach and agreeing the event with the venue
- Independent power: a generator, distribution, stabilisation
- Moisture-proof sound and a DJ podium
- Light: a warm wash, torches, garlands, battery-powered fixtures
- Decor, a lounge, a bar and catering on the sand
- Photo and video, the sunset filmed from the air

## Equipment hire, a bar and catering on the beach

On the sand there are no sockets and no shelter from moisture, so we bring our own event equipment, moisture-proof: a JBL [sound system](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/sound-equipment-rental-phuket), battery-powered [speakers](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/pa-speaker-rental-phuket), [subwoofers](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/jbl-sub-prx-715), [radio microphones](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/microphone-rental-phuket), a mixing desk, Pioneer [DJ equipment](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/dj-equipment-rental-phuket), a generator and [lighting](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/light) fixtures. Sound and [lighting equipment](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/light-equipment-rental-phuket) hire in Phuket is available on its own too — delivered to the beach, set up, with a technician.

Catering and a mobile bar right on the sand: a bar station, bartenders, signature cocktails and fresh juices, a BBQ and seafood, waiters and tableware. The decorations and styling — lounge furniture, poufs, bamboo torches, garlands and a photo zone — stand above the tide line and are cleared without a trace.

You can take the hire alone: a generator, sound, light, a canopy, a stage and [cold fireworks](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/cold-fireworks-show) come from the catalogue as separate items.
