Back to 90s Disco Party in Phuket: a themed retro party — sound and light rental, DJ, disco decor, photo zone, bar and cocktails.

Back to 90s is a format that needs no explaining to the guests. Everyone knows what to wear, everyone knows the words, and the dance floor switches on from the first track. We built a disco like that in Phuket: a [mirror ball](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/disco-ball), neon, cassette aesthetics and a set of those very hits.

In the nineties what matters is not nostalgia for its own sake but precision of detail: the right light, recognisable props, a [photo zone](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/photo-zone-phuket) the guests queue for. We build the programme in waves — from a slow warm-up to a dense dance block in the middle of the evening.

The format sits equally well on a [corporate event](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/corporate-events-mice-phuket), a [birthday](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/birthday-party-phuket) and an open party in a bar. Only the scale of the venue and the density of the programme change.

## What we took on

- The concept of the evening, the dress code and the script
- [Decor](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/decorations): neon, a mirror ball, vintage props, a [photo zone](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/stage-rental-phuket)
- [Sound](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/sound) and light: [speakers](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/pa-speaker-rental-phuket), [lighting](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/light) fixtures, [lasers](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/laser-machine-2w), a [smoke machine](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/smoke-machine-rental-phuket)
- A [DJ](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/dj-phuket) with a 90s set, a host, dance acts
- Contests and interactive games for the party's format
- Photo and video, the film edited

## Equipment hire, a mobile bar and decorations

A nineties disco [stands](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/stands-dj-stand) on sound and light, so we bring our own event equipment: a JBL sound system, speakers and [subwoofers](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue/product/jbl-sub-prx-715), [radio microphones](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/microphone-rental-phuket) for the contests, a mixing desk, Pioneer DJ equipment, a mirror ball, LED fixtures, lasers and smoke machines. Sound and [lighting equipment](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/light-equipment-rental-phuket) hire in Phuket is available on its own too — with delivery, setup and a technician on site.

Catering and a mobile bar in the style of the evening: a bar station, bartenders, signature cocktails and drinks from the nineties, waiters and tableware. The decorations and styling — neon, vintage props, light-up letters, garlands and a photo zone — are built for the concept, not bought loose.

Only need the hire? Sound, light, special effects, an LED screen and a stage come from the catalogue as separate items, without event planning.
