## What we bring and what it costs

Our own equipment, our own technicians, our own warehouse in Thalang — since 2013. **JBL, Turbosound, Martin Audio and Electro-Voice** speakers, Soundcraft and Behringer mixers, Shure microphones, Pioneer and Allen & Heath DJ gear. We deliver, set up, tune to the venue and stay for the event.

Villas, beaches, yachts, hotels, restaurants and open-air events all over the island. A set from **3,500 ฿**, delivery from 2,000 ฿, minimum order 15,000 ฿. Below are item prices and ready-made configurations by guest count.

## Sound with a DJ — four ready-made sets

Sound equipment rental in Phuket is most often needed not on its own but together with a DJ. We put together four builds on JBL EON 615 speakers and JBL PRX 715 XLF subwoofers — **equipment, delivery, setup, sound check, a technician for the whole evening and our DJ**. Prices are per event, not per day.

| Ceremony and dinner — up to 40 guests | 24,000 ฿ |
| --- | --- |
| Villa party — 40–80 guests | 29,000 ฿ |
| Dance floor — 80–150 guests | 46,000 ฿ |
| Open-air or pool party — 150–250 guests | 56,000 ฿ |

 [What each set includes →](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/dj-equipment-rental-phuket)

A DJ is included in every build; their fee depends on the format and the number of hours, so we quote it separately. We work all over the island — Patong, Kata, Karon, Rawai, Nai Harn, Bang Tao, Layan, Kamala, Surin, Cape Yamu, Thalang. Builds start at 15,000 ฿: we put together smaller ones than these four too — these are simply the most popular.

Sound is the one item whose absence every guest notices at once. We rent out sound equipment for events in Phuket from our own warehouse with our own technicians: the set is chosen for the venue and the number of guests, delivered, tuned and looked after on site.

## What we bring

- **Speaker systems** — from a compact set for 30 guests to a line array for an open-air venue. In stock: **Martin Audio**, **Electro-Voice** and **JBL** (PRX, EON 615, IRX 112, EON 208, PRX 715 XLF subwoofers). **L-Acoustics** and **d&b audiotechnik** systems are brought in on request for large venues and to an artist's rider
- **Mixing desks** — Soundcraft and Behringer, analogue and digital
- **Wireless microphones** — handheld and lavalier, with spare sets of batteries
- **Stage monitors** — for live musicians and the host
- **Power** — a stabiliser and a generator where the venue's supply is unreliable
- **A simultaneous interpretation system** — for conferences with foreign speakers

## The set is chosen for the venue, not the other way round

An open beach, a villa with neighbours, a banquet hall with an echo and a conference hall with columns all need different sound. A beach swallows the low end and needs power in reserve. At a villa, volume control and directivity matter more than watts. In a hall with hard surfaces, intelligibility is solved by placement, not volume. We ask about the venue before we name a set.

## Prices

| Item | From, THB |
| --- | --- |
| Speaker system (set) | 3,500 — 8,000 |
| JBL PRX 715 XLF (subwoofer) | 4,000 |
| Soundcraft / Behringer mixing desk | 2,000 |
| Wireless microphone | 1,000 |
| Simultaneous interpretation system | 35,000 |
| Stands, DJ stand | 1,000 |
| Cable runs and power | 1,000 |
| Voltage stabiliser | 5,000 |
| Generator | 10,000 |

Prices are per event and indicative: this is the cost of the item itself. The final quote depends on the duration, access to the venue, the power supply and the crew. The full list is in the [equipment catalogue](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/catalogue).

## Crew work and delivery

Delivery and carrying up to the venue, placement and setup are quoted separately — from 2,000 ฿ by car and from 5,000 ฿ by truck; the amount depends on the area and on what has to be carried in. The rental price includes cabling, a sound check before the guests arrive, a technician at the desk for the whole event and the de-rig afterwards. We cover cable runs with ducts — most hotels and villas require it, and without it the venue may not let us in.

## How we work

Tell us the date, the venue, the number of guests and the format — background music at dinner, a live band, a DJ until midnight or a conference with talks. We come back with a specification and a fixed quote. If the venue has a volume or time limit, we take it into account in advance, not at one in the morning.
## Turbosound speakers — models, power and rental prices

A full Turbosound set in our warehouse — tops and subwoofers. Turbosound is a British brand behind a lot of what genuinely sounds good in small and mid-sized rooms: a tight low end and a midrange that keeps speech intelligible as the volume rises. We rent it cabinet by cabinet, so the system is chosen for the venue rather than sold as a fixed package.

| Item | ฿ |
| --- | --- |
| Turbosound NuQ122-AN — active speaker, 12", 2,500 W | 4,250 |
| Turbosound NuQ115B-AN — subwoofer, 15", 3,000 W | 4,950 |
| Turbosound MILAN M18B — subwoofer, 18", 2,200 W | 4,180 |
| Turbosound MILAN M12 — active speaker, 12", 1,100 W | 2,690 |
| Turbosound MILAN M10 — active speaker, 10", 600 W | 2,250 |
| Turbosound stands for tops and subs — stands | included in the price |
| EcoFlow Delta 3 power station — portable power station | 3,500 |

### Turbosound NuQ122-AN — rental in Phuket

The main top of the set: a 12-inch active cabinet at 2,500 W with wide, controlled directivity. A pair covers a villa dance floor or a terrace for 100 guests without straining. These are the speakers that carry the vocals and the top end of a DJ set.

### Turbosound NuQ115B-AN — rental in Phuket

A heavy subwoofer: a 15-inch driver, 3,000 W, the highest output per cabinet in our Turbosound stock. One of these under a pair of NuQ122 tops turns a “dinner” system into a “party” system.

### Turbosound MILAN M18B — rental in Phuket

18 inches, 2,200 W — deep low end, the kind an open-air pool venue swallows whole. If a 15-inch sub gives punch, an 18-inch gives weight; house and techno need both.

### Turbosound MILAN M12 — rental in Phuket

12 inches, 1,100 W. A practical size for cocktails, ceremonies, conference rooms and terraces where a 15-inch box is more than the space needs. We also use it as a stage monitor.

### Turbosound MILAN M10 — rental in Phuket

10 inches, 600 W — a compact for speeches, the guest welcome area, small dinners and filling the spots the main system does not reach. Light enough to stand on a pole without ballast.

### Turbosound stands for tops and subs — rental in Phuket

Sub poles and tripods for 10- to 15-inch cabinets, with pads for sandbags. Included in the Turbosound rental; we do not charge for them separately.

### EcoFlow Delta 3 power station — rental in Phuket

Silent stored power for beach ceremonies, garden venues and anywhere a generator would be louder than the music. It runs a compact sound set with lighting for the length of a ceremony. Where a full 5,500 W generator would be overkill, this is what people take.

## Which Turbosound configuration for which event

Choosing the power is where people go wrong most often. Below are real builds we deliver, so you can estimate the budget before we even start writing to each other.

| Item | ฿ |
| --- | --- |
| Ceremony or dinner, up to 40 guests | 4,940 |
| Villa party, 40–80 guests | 11,530 |
| Dance floor, 80–150 guests | 13,450 |
| Open-air or pool party, 150–250 guests | 21,810 |

### Ceremony or dinner, up to 40 guests — rental in Phuket

Two MILAN M10s on stands, a wireless microphone, a small mixer. Enough for vows, speeches and background music. On the beach, add an EcoFlow for 3,500 ฿ — then no generator is needed.

### Villa party, 40–80 guests — rental in Phuket

Two MILAN M12 tops plus a MILAN M18B subwoofer. Real low end without it spilling over the fence to the neighbours — this is exactly the configuration that lets Phuket parties carry on calmly past midnight.

### Dance floor, 80–150 guests — rental in Phuket

Two NuQ122-AN tops plus a NuQ115B-AN sub. Club level: headroom in volume and the combination our sound engineers reach for by default.

### Open-air or pool party, 150–250 guests — rental in Phuket

Two NuQ122-ANs, one NuQ115B-AN and two MILAN M18Bs — the full set. Budget for a 5,500 W generator at 10,000 ฿ from the start if the venue has no dedicated line: this system will find the limit of a villa's switchboard.

## Frequently asked questions
**How much does sound equipment rental cost in Phuket?**

A speaker set starts at 3,500 THB, a mixing desk at 2,000 THB, a wireless microphone at 1,000 THB per event. The final quote depends on the venue, the number of guests and the duration.
**Do we need a technician on site?**

We always leave a technician at events with live sound, a host or a DJ. For background music at a small dinner, a set-up-and-leave option is possible — we discuss it at the quote stage.
**What if the venue has no reliable electricity?**

We bring a generator and a voltage stabiliser. At villas and on beaches this is a common situation, and we build it into the specification in advance.
**Can I rent just microphones?**

Yes. Wireless microphones on their own start at 1,000 THB each — more on the [microphone rental](https://www.doubledproject.com/en/services/microphone-rental-phuket) page.
**Do you provide simultaneous interpretation at conferences?**

Yes. A simultaneous interpretation system with receivers for the guests is 35,000 THB. Interpreters are arranged separately.
